The Starting point for our group was to reimagine what a design brief is and how it comes about.  In our initial explorations of the neighborhood we were struck by the inability of design briefs based on quantitative census and economic data to take into account things like daily interactions, cultural perceptions, and the individual life stories of inhabitants.  In the end we came up with this design document (click on thumbnails for full resolution image.
