'THE KOLIWADA RESIDENCE ASSOCIATION'

In order to empower the residents, it is necessary to incorporate each residents regardless of their status (religion, tenant/landlord, income level). The association will become the sole representative of everyone thats lives in the area and would serves as a platform for each residents to voice their concern.

The underlying assumption is that only by establishing a relationshio of mutual aid between those who have and those who do not, one could guarantee a livelihood for everyone concerned.

The assocaition should:

1. Empower to speak on behalf of the residents.

2. Help and nourish the training of the local talents, in the skil if building. Be able to take care of its own building projects, within the longer time frame.

3. Establish a series of sub committees to look after the different parts of the built environment like drainage, public circulation, recreation, dispute settlement, planning; just as similar committees exist now on regards to the fish market, areas of worship, etc.

 4. The objective is to handover the power of negotiation to the residents in a way  that allows them to have both a vested interest and a voice in the possibilities of future planning of the settlement.

5. Ownership of the overall is broken down into packets of possession that are then distributed amongst residents according to predetermined criteria.

6. Each packet represents a sliver of ownership over the settlement, that can then be used by the residents to negotiate, debate, barter, sell, and etc...
