X. Follow up projects

We are planning to open a physical communication centre run by Koliwada and Dharavi residents who participated in the workshop and played a vital role in involving community. They will use the centre and dharavi.org as a means of connecting more intimately and extensively with the neighbourhood at large and making their voices heard beyond it.

This centre will hopefully be a work/play space with a juice bar, internet access, chill out zone, and a library.

This space will also include the office of the "Koliwada Design Cell", which will coordinate the work of the residents and international participants of the Urban Typhoon workshop towards the realization of an urban design and plan for Koliwada.

Different names have been proposed for this center: Koliwada Club, Dot, and Fishnet.
