Juwairia forayed into the field of urban development when she took up her first job as a Reporter at Janaagraha Centre for Citizenship and Democracy. Here is where she developed a keen interest in urban governance and citizen participation, marking her shift from being an aspiring journalist to an aspiring urbanist. She evolved into a development communication practitioner over the course of her stay at Janaagraha as she built communication collateral for a wide array of participatory campaigns.
