Pierre Kirk-Jensen is an urban planner. Passionate about history, he studied the subject with a focus on urban development and economics. He subsequently specialised with a Master's in urban planning and development in Paris.
Pierre returned to urbz after an initial internship experience in the Mumbai office in 2014. In the meantime, extensive experience at a major French architecture and urban planning firm allowed him to work on a range of projects spanning from urban project management to mobility planning and the design of intermodal spaces, in France, Senegal and India.
These enriching experiences convinced him of the need to adopt participatory and consultative dynamics in the production of the city. In returning to the urbz collective in Paris, Pierre will focus specifically on participatory urban planning, enabling urban policies and projects to be shaped by the needs of inhabitants and users, the primary actors of the city.
